I am like you with a love/hate relationship with the holidays. The pressure to commercialize it can be overwhelming. I am just looking forward to spend what I hope will be a relaxing day with my children, and talking to them about the true meaning of the season. Just like you said! :)Petulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11246335892746223347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8848298869710906469.post-64787647868381066642008-12-23T13:03:00.000-06:002008-12-23T13:03:00.000-06:00You're right, we tend to get so caught up in the c...You're right, we tend to get so caught up in the commercialism of the season, we need to take time and remember what's truly important. To me, what's truly important is spending time with the people I love. It always comes down to time for me. Not enough of it.

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas.Haley Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12374809490325504149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8848298869710906469.post-53365984991964456162008-12-23T11:39:00.000-06:002008-12-23T11:39:00.000-06:00So true--so many conflicting feelings this time of...So true--so many conflicting feelings this time of year! No wonder this is hard for so many people. It's tough to be thankful and hard to remember to think of things that we really do appreciate.

Things will work out. Here is my Dalai Lama pearl of wisdom for you:

"If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. If it's not fixable, then there is no help in worrying. There is no benefit in worrying whatsoever."

He's right, really. When you think about it. Here's to finding peace in your mind and calm in your world. May the new year bring us all peace....Linhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07042143254001890567noreply@blogger.com
