Still?? Maybe, Maybe Not!

Yeah, yeah still at a loss although yesterday was OK to start off with! It was beautiful so the diva and I went to get the oil changed and walked next door to mail the goody boxes to Lin, Lola and Petula. Lin and Lola should get theirs today since we are in the same state and Petula should have hers by Monday (sorry).

Anyhoo, the sun was shining and then it went away AGAIN so my mood went with it! Not to mention the fact that the diva would not lay down to take a nap! She would get up, I would put her back.........and this was the routine for 45 minutes!!! She just about wore me out to the point that I needed a nap but then there would have been no EC dropping and no blog reading going on! Maybe I just need to fake bake for a week at the local salon to simulate the sun! No comments please!! I know it causes skin cancer and I am not going to do it because I don't have the time!! Could you seriously see the little diva hanging out while I tan?? Puhleeeeze!

Ok, I am done being sarcastic.........for the moment!! There is good news to report! Little 5 month old Stellan is doing better and his heart has been out of SVT for sometime now! That is the power of prayer people! He has a long road ahead but things are heading in the right direction for now!!

Today's photo is a time that every parent of a little one lives for! I usually get almost 2 hours of me time while she snoozes! Yeah! This her snoozing with her sock monkey (remember those when we were kids?) affectionately named Mr. Monkey Face! He is essential for nap and bed time! The action used on this photo is called Coffeeshop Denim and it is so cool! You can do new denim, faded denim and one other that I cannot remember off the top of my brain right now! What to say, What to say!

Racking my brain is driving to the brink of insanity! What am I thinking about? Well I am still looking for my 8 gig jump drive that has been M.I.A. with tons of photos on it for about 5 weeks now and I still have no clue where to look next to find it! If I had to guess, I would say the little diva made off with it and put is who knows where!

I am also thinking about what to write and what to photograph for this blog because all my creativity seems to have taken a vacation to a warmer climate! Wish I could have gone with it! Just to recharge my batteries and bounce back better than ever! Oh, well I am stuck in Illinois with it's fickle weather patterns where is is 65 one day and snowing the next!! Ugh!!

On a happy note: Congrats to Lola, Lin and Petula for commenting on the Pay it Forward post! They will each be recieving a fun surprise from me, hand picked for each of them by me, of course! After my shopping trip, I will post what each will be getting for agreeing to pay it forward! I love these ladies like sisters, they rock! My real sis Debbie rocks too (didn't want to leave her out)! She is busy planning my nephews wedding in August! Can't wait!

A Call From A Band Locker (not an April Fools joke)

It was just an ordinary day a couple of days back and I was doing my normal house cleaning routine when the phone rang and I noticed it was my lovely teen on the line!! My first thought was: does he not have to be in class? So when I answered the phone I was already annoyed that he was calling and I decided that this had better be GOOD! Let me tell you, it was better than good! It was down right roll on the floor, pee my pants laughing good! The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hello?

Teen: Hysterical laughter!

Me: What do you need son?

Teen: More hysterical laughing!

Me: I am serious, what do you need?

Teen: I need you to call the office to get someone to help me!

Me: OK, help you with what?

Teen: More hysterical laughter and I can tell he is not alone!

Me: (Angry by this point) Tell me what you need or I am hanging up!!!

Teen: Well, my friend and I are stuck in a band locker! We got in and our friends locked us in and walked away leaving us trapped so could you please call the office and have them send someone to let us out!

Me: (Rolling with laughter) You have got to be kidding me!!!

Teen: No, Mom, I am not!

So I called the school office and told them of my child's predicament and they called for a custodian! Needless to say all the administrators heard the request for help and laughed hysterically also! The only thing that would have made it funnier was if I was there with the camera when they were released from the locker! My son is 6 ft 2 inched and weighs 230 lbs so he is not a small guy and he was trapped with a girl in this locker!! Talk about a tight squeeze! Kids.......why do they try such stupid things? Oh, well they are fine and the school got a good laugh and so did I!
