NO, I don't drink so it is not that wagon! The wagon I am referring to is the diet and fitness wagon! Yup, it has been 48 hours since this venture started and I have already lost 1.5 lbs. on my way to a goal of 40-45 lbs. by August!
No I am not crash dieting!! I am walking and eating healthy and watching my portions and drinking tons of water! No really, I mean tons, I am not joking here! OK so the proper translation is gallons but I like tons better!
I am not taking any pills except a daily vitamin and fish oil capsules and I like how I feel so far! Now, I am not saying this is all a breeze because my hubby is NOT on a diet so I have to cook him the same old foods he always ate: steak, pizza, burgers, fries, spaghetti, you know, the good stuff! I am also making myself chicken, broccoli, salads, other various veggies and fruits. The good news is I can have 2 pieces of mushroom pizza a week so that will help with that craving plus I get 1 protein bar a day which helps with the chocolate cravings and I can eat out once in a while I just need to make sure it is in line with the rest of the day!
As far as will power, I have 0 but my motivation is shopping for a dress for the Colorado wedding in August! My nephew is getting married and I am doing the photography! Besides, I just want to look decent and feel GREAT! That is motivation enough for me!
I have done this before but usually when my hubby has been in Iraq! It was easy to cook like I need to and to hit the gym every day after Zach went to school! Now hubby is home and likes to eat and Sadie is with me all the time so the gym is not an option which is why I chose walking! I am working up to 3 miles a day! Right now I am at about 1.25 miles per day! Not bad for just getting started! I have also started doing squats and lunges and tricep dips. I have dug some hand weights out of the basement and I am ready to go!
I am going to post my journey once a week and you all are my new accountability partners!! Anyone want to join me? We can encourage each other!! Leave a comment if you would like to join me and let me know what you are doing so I can try it to!!! Good luck!
Today's photo is not the greatest self-portrait but I was playing! I will be posting a better one soon I promise!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
Yahooo! You go, girl!
I love yourself portrait. It's always hard to judge pictures of yourself. Sounds like your off to a great start. You're way ahead of me in the exercise category. Though I always seem to watch what I eat, but I'm still 30 lbs over weight. Uggg!! Wish I was that size 7 again. Can't wait to hear about your progress.
your photo is just fine...and it will be a nice starter picture for when you drop the weight you can look back and say...I'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY!
Good luck, you can do it.
Best of luck to you. Think of the extra energy you'll have. It will be great!
Good luck! I'm sure you will reach your goal. I have been dieting for about 6 months. I have only lost 20 lbs but the holidays were a bad time for my diet. I'm part of the one weight at a time blog. We would love it if you joined in.
Good luck for sure. You can do it. Simply cut everything you normally eat in half.
Stay busy and moving and drink a lot of water.
Once you develop new habits....it will be easier. Try really hard to not focus on a diet so much as a change in eating habits!
Have a nice day!
Oh I am so excited for you! I know you can do it... don't give up. I lost weight the same way. About 35 pounds in a year. If you want to email me I can tell you a way to sneak the good stuff into your hubby's food and do gradual changes for him. :D
If you need pep talks I am always here!
Good for you! I lost 17 pounds last year and a few have come back, so I'm with you on the losing quest!
You go girl! You can do it!
My wagon leaves on Monday. I'd better start packing!
You can do it Jo Jo, you can do it!!!
Love and Prayers,
Tim
