The Diva's New Christmas Dress

Yes, I'll admit that I am slightly obsessed with playing dress-up with the Diva! She is, after all, my own personal baby doll! I used to have tons of clothes for all of my babies that I played with back in the day and let's not forget all of the Barbie clothes! I could have opened my own Barbie clothes resale shop in my hood and made tons of money to buy new clothes for my favorite doll! Now, since I have a girl, I get to dress her instead and I have to admit that it is so much more fun to dress her than it was her brother!!

I love a good bargain and started at Wallyworld and found nothing cute! The mall, which for us consists of JC Penney, Sears and Elderbeerman and still NOTHING! I was getting frustrated and then I remembered that I had to go to Decatur to pick up parts for my car and there just happens to be a Target (my favorite place to shop) there! I just knew I would find something cute there and I was not wrong! In fact, I found a lot of cute somethings but limited myself to a super cute Christmas dress and a couple of shirts! I did good!!

So, the Diva is going to wear the dress on Sunday to our Christmas program at church but I knew that I needed photos before hand and since I was going to photograph my friend Laurie's 20 Christmas trees (yes I said 20) she said to bring the Diva along and take some shots of her in the process! Some shots turned into tons of shots and tough decisions for me!! LOL! (Angel, I am expecting your email anytime!) Notice the doll that is in every photo? The Diva fell in love with her and Laurie sent her home to stay with us for a while! LOL! So here are some of my favs and please don't ask what was so funny because she was just being a clown!!

One of my photos to be on CD cover!!

I found out recently that a photo that I have take is going to be featured on the cover of a CD that will be released in 2009! Now don't think that you are going to be able run out and buy the CD because it is done by a local artist, Millie Turner. She plays piano like you would not believe! I would not be surprised if someday she had a national CD, that is how talented I believe she is!

On another note, I have been networking like crazy to really jump start my photography business! It can be exhausting but on the upside I am having a great time meeting new people and making new friends along the way!

Sorry that this is a short post day but Zach has his band concert this afternoon and we are getting ready to head to the High School!

Today is Our Anniversary!

Today is our 15th anniversary and I really cannot believe that we have lasted this long! I mean really, there are times that I have really wanted to kill the man but have always thought better of it. In honor of our big day, I am going to make this short and sweet and share some photos that were taken last night. I hope you enjoy them!

Our church is so pretty with all of the beautiful decorations and the top three photos were taken there last night before praise team rehearsal. The bottom three were done at my house. The very bottom Santa ornament is one that we got while stationed at Fort Campbell, KY and reminds me to pray for our troops that are in harms way! To our military friends: May God bless you this Christmas season. We miss you very much!
