Dear Winter

I am over you so you need to move along!  I am ready for spring and flowers and warmer temps!  I like the sun and gentle breezes that make me feel good!  I hate the snow and ice that you bring!  Sorry if this dear John letter is a little harsh but I did not know how to get my message across any other way.  That is all!  You are free to go!

On a happy note here is a shot of a little cutie!  If you want to see the rest you can go HEREhttp://www.pictureperfectbyjo.com/2011/02/jocelyn.html!

Hope you all have an awesome weekend!  I know I will!  Stop by tomorrow to see why!

Hello Saturday!!

The weather has been wonderful the last couple of days!  I even broke out the flip flops on Thursday and almost all the evidence of the snow storm is gone (except on corners where it was piled pretty high).  Today, the windows are open and it is wonderful!

I had a session today with a 4 month old little girl and her parents and we even got to go outside for a few of them!  I love it!!  This week will be a busy one with an 8 week old and 7 day old twins.  I am really liking this love a baby, take their picture and send them home gig that I have going on!  It helps curb the baby fever that I have had lately and raises my serotonin level significantly!  Ha!  Ha!

Anyway, here is Luke and if you want to see the rest of him you can go HERE!  Have a wonderful weekend!  I hope the weather is beautiful where you are!

Working Again!

Now that the snow is melting and warmer weather is on the way, let the shooting being!!!  I am so stoked to be getting out and doing what I love!  Here is a preview of what I have been working on.  I also added a new plug in to PSE so this session was edited using Topaz and I kind of like it!  May need to get used to it though!  If you want to see more of this session you can go HERE!

Do Not Disturb

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever wanted the perfect get away with your spouse?  I am talking no kids, no phones, nothing but the two of you relaxing away from it all!  Have you ever considered Branson?  The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel have all the creature comforts that you and your love could ever hope for:

*Early check-in & pre-registration upon request
*In-room sparkling wine (where permitted by law) or cider upon arrival
*Access to hotel health club, pool and whirlpool spa (where available)
*Full American breakfast for two in their room (where available) or in the hotel's designated restaurant. At airport locations, guests can exchange their breakfast for a lunch or dinner discount
*On stays beyond one night, buy one entrée and get a second one of equal or lesser value at no additional cost. (Choose from either lunch or dinner in designated restaurant)
*Late check-out available upon request

I know that the Knight and I could use a weekend away from it all and Branson is just a short drive from us so it would make for a perfect weekend get away for the two of us!  It would be great to be able to relax and enjoy breakfast in our room while taking our time to get ready to go see all that Branson has to offer.  Take advantage now because these packages are good through the month of February!  Why not celebrate the month of love by surprising your love with a romantic get away to Branson?

Happy Valentine's Day!

So far it has been a great Valentine's Day!  The Diva and I got roses and then went to lunch with the Knight.  The temps are up and the snow is melting and life is good for the moment!  I am amazed at what the Knight has done today considering the fact that he is not much into the details of romancing a girl.  Don't get me wrong, when we were dating, I got a dozen roses almost every Friday but that changed the minute the ring went on my finger!  Life gets busy and he figures that he has me so he no longer needs to try!  Wrong!!  A little trying now and again would go a long way in my book but I know how he is so I set the bar low so I am not disappointed.

Now the Diva and I are going to have our own private spa day right here at home with painted pink piggies and all!  I will update with picture later!

The "Ignore Button" of Life

I have been sidetracked again!  It happens, periodically, that life will throw a wrench into what would, otherwise, be a perfect life!  No, my life is not perfect but it could be if lots of things were dropped off the face of the earth into a great void never to be seen again.  Sometimes I wish I could do that to people too but since I can't I just have to deal with them as I see fit!  Most of the the time my weapon of choice is to hit the ignore button.  Ha!  Ha!  Seriously, don't you wish some people had an ignore button like you have on Facebook?

Someone says something you don't like.........ignore!  Someone hurts your feelings.............ignore!  Someone does something incredibly stupid..........ignore!  I would be using that button quite frequently!  Particularly with my family!  The Knight does one of the above mentioned actions..........ignore!  The Moody Teen does one of the above mentioned actions.............ignore!  The Diva acts to divaish................ignore!  You get the picture!  But since life does not come with an ignore button, I guess Calgon will have to continue to take me away!

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Bright Beginnings Formula

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have two kids and one was formula fed 100%!  I was young and just went with the flow.  I also paid big bucks for one of the national brands that was referred to me at the hospital.  That is all fine and dandy because 18 years ago, there was not a lot of competition in the formula market like there is today.

The baby formula industry is regulated by the FDA so the only real difference between the national brands and store brands is marketing.  The name brands spend money on advertising and marketing plans that, we, as parents pay for when purchasing one of these brands.  The store brands, however, meet the same FDA guidelines as the name brands and they do not spend millions marketing their product so they do not  need to inflate the cost of their product to pay for the advertising.  Sounds great to me with the way the economy has been in the last year.

You can check out   Bright Beginnings on Facebook   and if you like what you see you can buy on diapers.com!  How easy is that?  Have your babies formula shipped to your door and that is one less thing that you have to worry about as a parent!  Now if we could just get rid of the other million things that we worry about.

Day 3

Just so you all know, I am going crazy here!  Cabin fever has officially set in!  Today is day 3 with the kids home from school.  Now granted, the Knight and the Moody Teen have both been out of the house on their own but the Diva and I have been together since MONDAY!  Needless to say, we are getting on each others nerves just a little.

The beautiful sunshine is very deceiving because it is bitterly cold out there so leaving the house with my annoying sweet girl is not an option.  I hate to wish my life away but I so wish that spring would spring tomorrow.  Although, at this point if everything melted that quickly we would quickly be under water with a whole new set of problems to deal with!  Oh the humanity of it all!

The good news is that we still have power so the Moody Teen has a computer and internet access and the Diva has Playhouse Disney but they both periodically let me know that they are bored because they have nothing to do!  What is a mother to do?  This mom is tempted to bundle up and venture out for a while!  Wonder if I could make it to Common Grounds (my fav coffee shop) without freezing to death on the way?  I am sure that a Snickers Latte would make everything better!  Well, at least for a while!

Speaking of Common Grounds, here is a pic from my Instagram Project 360!  The name of the coffee pretty much sum up what I think of my kids right now how I feel!

Hope you are all safe and warm on this lovely Thursday!

The BIG One!

Well, all they hype ended up being not so bad for us.  We ended up with 2.5 inches of sleet here in cornfield central.  Don't get me wrong, I still would not want to be out on the roads so I am staying put until crews get a handle on the clean up!  Better to be safe than sorry!

I did venture out to take some pictures and almost ended up on my rear end so I cannot imagine trying to drive in it.  I did get some good pictures especially today since the sun is shining!  So I will leave you with one of my favs!  This is the only way I want to see any ice in the near future!
