A very sad day!

Today is a sad day in our house because Zach's pet rat, Socks, passed away! I was not partial to Socks or his cage mate Salt but to see my eldest crying because his pet died is hard for me as it would be for any mother! Even harder yet is Sadie who cried because "bubby" put the "wat" in a Wal-mart sack to take him outside to prepare for burial! She kept saying "wat, wat, wat", we finally had to show her Salt and Lumina (Breanna's pet rat) to get her to stop crying.

Socks may you rest in peace in rat heaven and have all the food you can hold and lots of space to run. I also pray that there are no snakes in rat heaven!
