I had the best time last night at my friend Sarah's house! She and three of her friends hosted a ladies only cookie party. I have to say that I did not plan on attending because I did not know anyone except Sarah. Having said that, my dear husband said I was going and that he would watch the little one for me. I went over at 7 pm thinking I would not stay long but did not make it back across the driveway until 11:30 pm. Yes, you read right, I was away from the baby for 4 1/2 hours!! That is the current record!
I really could not help myself! I met Laura, Darla and Amy who are all my age!! They were so much fun to be with! They all have kids the same age as my oldest and I was just happy to be with these wonderful women, enjoying the Christmas season!
We played games, hence the photo of me decked out like a Christmas tree, exchanged yummy cookies, had a gift exchange and a few glasses of wine (the first for me in over two years). I took lots of photos and just had a plain old good time! I can't wait until next year!

Hey, good for you! I'm so glad that you went out and had a great time. It is so hard to do that with all that is looming and needs to be done in this very busy season. Looks like you had a ton of fun! I love the pose on the woman closest to the camera in the first photo--too funny!
